Grafted

Receiving a scholarship from a prestigious university, Chinese student Wei moves to New Zealand and settles with her aunt, whose daughter studies in the same department. The girl is self-conscious about a birthmark on her face and dreams of continuing the work of her late father, who was trying to create a revolutionary remedy for skin imperfections. This piques the interest of a university professor, who urgently needs a project to extend funding—thus, Wei gains access to the laboratory. Meanwhile, her relationships with her cousin and new classmates continue to worsen.
